Our story

On a vast plain, surrounded by magnificent, snow-white mountains, lay a lake - too big to freeze, too small to be a sea. It was December, the houses and streets on the shore were festively decorated and a chick made its way to the water to gaze at the moon.
The sky glittered twice: high above and on the mirror-smooth lake. Suddenly, however, the reflection broke up. Gentle waves rippled as tentacles rose from the depths. The chick marveled at the creature with big eyes, which it now examined just as attentively.
“Who are you,” asked the octopus, who had emerged in front of the chick, ”and what are you looking for?”
Only a moment passed, but in it, the future emerged. Then it began to snow. And when the two briefly took their eyes off each other to admire the natural spectacle, they discovered a mistletoe above them.
And so it all began.

Procedure

The reception begins at 3:00 p.m.

Location and Travel

Rocca D'Ajello

Our wedding celebration will take place at the beautiful Rocca D'Ajello in Italy. Guests are invited to arrive from 3:00 p.m. The wedding ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m.

Parking is available on site, the area is spacious and easy to use. 

Accommodations

3 Accommodation Tips

The Marche region is often overlooked, but it has so much to offer. So if you’re coming for our wedding, we recommend staying a few extra nights. Here are some accommodation suggestions:

  • Relais Villa Fornari, Hotel (12 minutes from the venue)

The bride’s and groom’s families and relatives will be staying here. We recommend you book this accommodation as well. A shuttle service to and from the wedding venue will be available from this hotel.
If possible, please mention when booking that you are part of the wedding party. 


  • Le Calvie, Country House (12 minutes from the venue)

This accommodation is located right next to Relais Villa Fornari. It’s ideal, as you can use the same shuttle service and stay right next door to many of the other guests.


  • Borgo Crispiero, Guesthouse (17 minutes from the venue)

This place offers a beautiful view and has a swimming pool. However, please note that transportation to the wedding venue must be organized on your own (by taxi or rental car).


There is also the Hotel Borgo Lanciano located very close to the wedding venue (11 minutes away). We discovered it during our wedding preparations. However, there is no shuttle service from there to the wedding venue. 


Please remember to book your accommodation in advance.

If you decide against fixed accommodation and prefer to arrive with your camper, you can easily park it in the large parking area at the wedding location. You're also welcome to spend the night there in your camper, there's plenty of space.
Please note: There is no special infrastructure (such as electricity or water hookups) for campers, but the spot is perfect for a night in your own van or bus. 

Dresscode

Shine with Us

We want you to look your best and take this opportunity to dress up and show off! Get creative and play with colors. This is your moment to shine, too!

Please avoid jeans, sneakers and complete outfits in shades of white, in black or in red. Other than that, the sky's the limit. We can’t wait to see your unique style!

Just a heads-up: the castle grounds have cobblestones, and a large part of the celebration will take place in the garden.

Between dinner and the first dance, there will be time for your creative contributions. To make sure everything goes smoothly, please let us know your ideas in advance, either directly in the RSVP form below or later via WhatsApp. This way, we can make sure there's enough time and any props you might need.

Our tips for the surrounding area 

More than just a wedding, discover the Marche region

  • Matelica

Perfect for a leisurely stroll through small shops, cafés, and flea markets. Charming, Italian, relaxed. 


  • Braccano

 A tiny village where nearly every house is covered in murals. Great for a short and picturesque walk. 

  • Frasassi Caves

 A spectacular cave system just 30 minutes away. Huge stalactite chambers and underground cathedrals – absolutely worth the trip. 


The region impresses with its stunning landscapes: rolling hills, wide valleys, dense forests, and breathtaking viewpoints. Hidden among them are charming villages and wineries. With a rental car, it’s easy and relaxing to explore – the roads are well maintained and comfortable to drive.

  • If you have any ideas and would like to contribute a part to the wedding (e.g. a speech, a game, or another surprise), please contact our witnesses.
  • If you have any questions regarding the dress code, feel free to reach out to them as well.
  • For dinner, meat and fish dishes will be served. If you have any allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary preferences (e.g. vegetarian or vegan) and have not indicated this during the registration, please inform our witnesses. If anything changes, please let them know as early as possible.
